Attractive Storage Ideas for Arts and Craft Supplies

One of the biggest reasons I was desperate for my own office was so that my craft and art supplies weren't scattered all over the house! My mission for storage was to embrace both form AND function and make sure the space was well organized while still looking beautiful.

1. Pretty Shelving

I am just obsessed with the look of these shelves! I have had my eye on this style of etagere for almost a year and I knew it would be perfect in my vintage/boho glam office! An etagere on either side of this window fits perfectly and offers lots of space to store my supplies (mostly) out of site!

2. Baskets

The easiest solution for keeping your items easily accessible without seeing all of it is baskets! I found these beautiful woven seagrass baskets at target for only $10 each! They are the perfect size for my shelves and keep everything out of sight for a clean styled look.

3. Show off pretty supplies

While it looks great not seeing all of the clutter, I did want to embrace a little bit of the color my art supplies offer! I corralled pens, markers and pencils in inexpensive drinking cups and lined them up inside this beautiful striped basket - another $10 Target find! I found the marble utensil holder at Home Goods in the clearance section for only $7, but I linked some affordable options for you below.

4. incorporate decor

To help my open shelving feel more styled and less like storage I incorporated plants, pictures, and decorative objects. I included some family treasures like my grandmother's button tin and photos of my son and husband. The rest of my décor was either thrifted or found at an antique market. Pro Tip: when thrifting, train your brain to see the possibility in less than desirable objects. I found this goblet planter for $1 at Goodwill and spray painted it flat white for an fresh but vintage look!

5. A bonus money saving tip

Lastly, if you find a piece of furniture you love but can't afford it, try an image search on Pinterest or Google and see if you can find a similar piece for less! The original etagere I fell in love with was 3 times the price of this budget friendly option I found for my office!!
