Powder Room Transformation Reveal

If you missed the previous posts, we've been giving our powder room a moody English cottage makeover to compliment the rest of our home style. Changing the paint color from Alabaster to Darkroom, both by Sherwin Williams, was an instant vibe shift from bright and airy to cozy and moody.

The wallpaper helped us achieve our English cottage vibes even more with this stunning floral print. The room feels classic but vintage without looking dowdy. And boy is she ever pretty!

To warm up the space we changed out the hardware for rich brass tones including the toilet paper holder, a new towel hook, and this stunning yet shockingly budget friendly faucet.

It wouldn't be a Rural Legend room without a few thrifted treasures! I found the perfect antique mirror on Facebook Marketplace for $5! The warm wood tone pairs so beautifully with the rich brass and the deep plum walls.

I also found this adorable glass lamp to use as a night light. The reflection of the glowing glass in the evenings is pure magic.

While not thrifted, I also included 2 gold framed floral prints from Italy that belonged to my grandparents. They work so well with the framed art I sourced from North and Finch.

Even though we kept our original gray vanity it looks completely different with new hardware and a brass vintage inspired faucet. And consideration to paint it has vanished because I think it looks perfect just the way it is!

The wallpaper and art from North and Finch are more on the higher end side than I traditionally choose, but by doing all of the work ourselves and adding other low budget and thrifted items, we were able to stick to our budget for this transformation!

We haven't decided yet which room will be next on the list for a transformation in 2023. For now, I'll be refinishing some second hand furniture and working on some spring craft projects. So stay tuned, because there's so much inspiration coming up!

xoxo, L
