Christmas Front Porch Styling

Updated: Apr 19, 2023

I love the challenge of finding new and different ways to style décor I already own, and that is exactly what I did with my front porch for Christmas! Talk about a sustainable affordable way to decorate for the holidays!

A few weeks ago, I made this simple winter wreath, which was my inspiration for the rest of the porch. I added a large artificial Christmas tree to the front porch for the first time last year and I don't think I can ever go back to not displaying one outside! I made 2 vignettes on either side of the front door, starting with my large tree and 2 small ones I found at Target years ago. These are similar!

I rescued these concrete planters from the curb over the summer and just stuck the small tree poles down through the drainage hole to secure them. They look so cute! The goal is to eventually pressure wash these planters and possibly paint them, but the weathered look works this year!

I tied ribbon to a few branches for interest and wired a few sparkly stems from last year's dining room tree to the large outdoor tree. I like how the sparkle mimics the silver ornaments in my wreath!

I filled an old wooden crate with a large pine garland I've had for years along with berry picks and a few more sparkly stems. I like the juxtaposition of the old rugged wood with the glam accents! Pro Tip: check out thrift stores for wreaths and garlands that you can upcycle!

We didn't have time over Thanksgiving break to string outdoor lights, but that will be the last item to check off our outdoor list! Have you started to decorate the front of your home yet?
